 A whole culture defined in their own terms. A timeless work that defines a certain place in (almost) everyone's life. It's amazing how you can connect to the different characters even when you don't think you will or that you can't. It's just a great work of art.

 I think it's pretty obvious but: Bender/Claire. Though Andy/Allison is really cute (and almost more natural? I don't know but I could see the ship actually working).

30 Day Breakfast Club Challenge. Day Thirteen. Do you think The Breakfast Club is more of a comedy or drama?

  I'd say, when it comes down to it, the movie is definitely more of a drama. There are a lot of good lines and funny scenes but, yeah, more of a drama. You could take the funny lines out and it would still make sense (though maybe not be as good). You can't do the same by taking out the drama and leaving just the fun stuff, arguably. Though they do mix together quite frequently, just as in real life.

  Oh man. There are so many great quotes in this movie. And so many are still "relevant." How can I choose just one?

1. Bender: “You’re a neomaxizoomdweebie.”

   Bender: Yes.
   Vernon: You got it! You got another one right there! That's another one pal!

30 Day Breakfast Club Challenge. Day Eleven. Take an analytical stance; what do you think the movie means in metaphorical sense?

 Everyone hides behind a mask, a label. Maybe deep down the person knows that they aren't what the they are labeled to be. Everryone has problems, no matter who they are. And the problems don't seperate us but bring us closer together and remind us we are all human. So be kind to everyone you meet, because everyone is fighting a hard battle.

 Either Brian or Claire... but I guess I'll go with Claire. I'm not much of  'princess'

I think I'd be slightly disappointed that someone would want to (I mean, I'd be curious as to how they stick to the original and cast-choice and music but that's about it). It still resonates with people and I can't see how a new version would improve on the old. And if they made a 'sequel' instead were they took the original and then just modernized it with a tweaked story line and a couple added characters, maybe a new place... no. Those are called straight-to-video, usually musical, sequels that fail at life.

I know which one I would want to. But I can't see us getting along.

I'd want to hang out with Bender, but I think Allison would be the wiser choice. As long as she doesn't steal my wallet. Or keys.

  My favourite scene would be when Bender is acting out the other's home life and then end's up acting out his own. He pretty much opens up to them and is vulnerable and they don't believe he's telling the truth. So, understandably, he gets angry and storms/climbs outta there and looks fairly upset at himself for opening up and at the others for not taking his word. Brilliant.

Close second is the 'chase' scene around the school. Awesome.

I think it's a mix up between Bender and Alison. Alison is pretty quiet and gets neglected while Bender has that whole tough-guy image and anger stuff.

Though the whole thing with the parents I pretty much relate to none of them haha.

8. I have had the same hair style my whole life (in a ponytail XP) - ✓essentially. I did get it cut short-ish last year
7. After grade 12 I'm getting a fawk hawk (or something of the like) - Never happened
6. Of famous old skool bands my 3 faves in order are: Elvis, Queen, the Beatles - I like way more than just that. Journey.
